Call of Duty fans have been waiting for news on the franchise coming to Xbox Game Pass since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard, but the time could be growing near.

This year's Black Ops 6 was the first time a new release has debuted on the service, and while we've also seen last year's Modern Warfare 3 added in September, longtime fans have been hoping to jump into classic entries.

Now, a surprising Microsoft Store update suggests they may get their wish soon.

Are classic CoD games coming to Xbox Game Pass?

As spotted by gaming account Knoebel on X (formerly Twitter), a series of classic games have been added to the Microsoft Store.

These include Call of Duty 1, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: United Offensive, the latter of which is PC only.

Another user spotted that Singularity, a 2010 shooter developed by Raven Software before the studio became rolled into developing Call of Duty.

That's prompted speculation that Microsoft could be preparing an Xbox Game Pass announcement that would see a whole host of titles added for console and PC. With The Game Awards just a few days away, there's every chance Microsoft could make an announcement at the show.
