Manchester City turn their attention back to the Champions League for their latest group phase match of the competition.
On Wednesday night, City will be taking on Juventus in Turin in their latest attempt to climb out of the knockout section of the Champions League table.
Interestingly, City were drawn with Juventus in the same group for the summer’s Club World Cup tournament.
However, back to their Champions League meeting, a former City player, who knows all about playing in Italy, has shared his verdict on how Wednesday’s game could go and which side could come out victorious.

Stevan Jovetic previews Man City vs Juventus
During a recent interview with TuttoJuve in association with TuttoMercatoWeb, former City striker Steven Jovetic was asked to share his thoughts on what Wednesday night’s European tie could hold.
He said: “The Citizens are not having a great time, we are all used to seeing them win by three or four goals and instead they are having a bit of trouble at the moment. It’s normal because it can happen in football, then the injuries are not helping them.

“The Bianconeri are having a so-so championship and not like Juve, but the coach has just arrived and it takes time. They are a good team, but they are no longer the winning team they were years ago.
“My chip is on Manchester City: they are stronger, even if they are not in great shape.”
Man City vs Juventus – injury updates
In an open training session on Tuesday afternoon, Phil Foden was spotted in training after missing City’s two previous matches against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace with bronchitis.
As well as that, Mateo Kovacic returned to training also following a recent injury spell.

As for Juventus, a recent report claimed that Douglas Luiz and Weston McKennie could make returns and feature against Pep Guardiola’s side.
In terms of results, City head into this game with just one win under their belts across their nine previous matches across all competitions.
The Italian side have also been in a mixed run of form recently, winning two, drawing seven and losing one of their 10 previous games.
Now that Jovetic, who scored 11 goals in 44 appearances for City, has backed his former side to beat Juventus on Wednesday despite their poor run of form, this shows how highly he rates the Blues even when they haven’t been in the best shape.
