Bayern Munich are pushing a hesitant Manchester United transfer target Alphonso Davies to sign a new contract before Christmas and would like him to make a decision before he has the opportunity to speak with other clubs.
The Canada international, who has been on Bayern Munich’s books since 2019, has yet to agree on terms for a new deal at the Allianz Arena.
If things remain as they stand, the player will be able to talk terms with non-German clubs when the transfer window opens in about three weeks’ time.
Manchester United, under their new manager Ruben Amorim, have been linked with a move for Davies and so have Spanish giants Real Madrid.
It has been reported lately that the player is ready to change his stance and sign a new contract with the Bavarians.
However, that is yet to happen and Bayern Munich are getting desperate.
According to German magazine Sport Bild, Bayern Munich are putting pressure on Davies to sign a new contract before Christmas so that they can prevent the player from speaking to any of the interested clubs.
Davies, on his part, is hesitant and is considering the prospect of continuing with negotiations in the new year.
