Manchester United are open to selling Marcus Rashford when the transfer window opens next month, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The journalist claims that the England international is not “unsellable” and the Red Devils are prepared to listen to “top offers” for the player.
Rashford started two of Ruben Amorim’s first three games in charge following the Portuguese coach’s appointment last month.

However, he was only a substitute against Arsenal last week and he was also named on the bench for the 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
Rashford could be sacrificed for PSR
Plettenberg reports that the 27-year-old’s performances are not the main motivation behind a potential sale. United are facing issues with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules and offloading Rashford could give them more room for manoeuvre in the transfer market.
The forward is on a high salary and the fact that he is homegrown means that the Red Devils would be able to balance their accounts by selling him.
A lack of suitors may scupper United’s plans
With the squad needing a radical overhaul, Rashford’s sale would free up the funds necessary to start reshaping the squad in January.
The one big flaw in that plan, though, is there will be few clubs willing to spend big on Rashford, considering his form.
7 goals and 3 assists in 27 appearances this season is not a bad return but his displays are unlikely to attract the sort of bids that United would be hoping for.
Unless a club in the Middle East decides to make an approach, it seems almost certain that Rashford will remain at Old Trafford until the end of the season. His situation could be reassessed then when there may be more suitors.
