The Cincinnati Bengals signed kicker Cade York on December 4th, adding the second-year special teams player to the practice squad. That move came as a result of an injury to Evan McPherson.

On Monday, York was elevated to the active roster as he took over the starting role for a matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Interestingly enough, he had a fan on the sidelines for the opposing team!

York’s girlfriend, Zoe Dale, is a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. The couple has been together for at least a few months judging by social media history. The duo first posted of one another on Instagram back in August.

Cade York confirmed the relationship after being picked up by the Bengals last week. He seemed eager for the opportunity to play in front of Dale.

“My girlfriend is actually a cheerleader for the Cowboys,” he said in a locker room interview. “She got baptized on Sunday… Literally the next day, I get a call that I’m going to work out for the Bengals, and they’re playing on Monday. I was like, ‘Well, Zoe, I will see you at home no matter what.'”

Cade York, I apologize, I was not familiar with your game.

Zoe Dale has been a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader since the start of the 2023 season. She appeared anxious on the sidelines while watching her boyfriend suit up for Cincinnati – and maybe for good reason!

York had played in only one NFL game since the 2022 season. He’d missed his only two field goal attempts of the ’24 campaign while playing with Washington. His night with Cincy didn’t get off to the best start either.

Luckily, Cade York settled in when the game began. He connected on both of his field goal tries as well as each of his three PATs. Zoe Dale breathed a sigh of relief after seeing his first kick go through the uprights.

“Praise God,” she was heard saying as the Monday Night Football cameras panned her way. She had little faith!

York lessened her worry with a perfect night in Cincinnati’s 27-20 victory. He’ll now gear up for his next outing vs. Tennessee.
