Jürgen Klopp left Liverpool at the end of last season as a legend of the club.
There was an awful lot of gratitude sent towards the German manager and not only was he successful on the pitch with the Reds but he also managed to strike up a relationship more generally as a human.
Many Liverpool supporters felt their values when it came to football matched those of Klopp, and in the face of a different approach at Manchester City, he was perhaps the perfect manager at such a time.
That personality, and the values Klopp gave the impression he shared, was one of the reasons there was widespread surprise when he decided to take a role with Red Bull following his Liverpool exit.
Whilst many Reds fans were shocked, it was an even bigger deal in Germany and Klopp has faced a lot of criticism, both from the media and supporter groups in the country.
The manager’s long time agent Marc Kosicke has spoken to a podcast in Germany and explained he and Klopp were aware criticism would on the way but didn’t really care too much about that.
Kosicke also explained the dealings Klopp had with the Red Bull group whilst at Liverpool, in terms of signing players from them, has left a good impression.

But as he always says: If you try to please everyone every day, you will fail every day._
_“He has to find the right job for himself after 25 years on the sidelines. And this somewhat higher-level work on a global level in a sports environment that offers so many opportunities is simply exciting. And that’s why we decided that the consequences are definitely worth bearing._
_“He simply appreciates the work that is done there, because he also transferred some players from Salzburg and Leipzig to Liverpool, who always fit perfectly into his game system.”_
