Tee Higgins Speaks Out About His Pending NFL Free Agency

Tee Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals have some things to sort out.

The talented wide receiver requested to be traded before the start of the season, but the team didn’t comply with his desire.

Although it seems like his time was running out with the team, there is still hope for an agreement.

Following the win over the Dallas Cowboys, Higgins claimed he wouldn’t rule out a return to the Bengals for next season and beyond.

He also was thankful for Joe Burrow, who said he would do whatever it took to get him back with the team next season.

Higgins is the team’s second-best pass-catcher besides Ja’Marr Chase.

He was reportedly disappointed that the Bengals didn’t even contact him with an offer after placing him under the franchise tag, which is why he ultimately requested to be traded.

Still, he’s also repeatedly talked about his desire to stay with the team for the long run.

The Bengals will have to make the numbers work in the offseason.

Even if Burrow restructures his contract, they will have to pay Ja’Marr Chase a lot of money.

On top of that, as great a player as Higgins is, the Bengals also desperately need to improve their bottom-performing defense, which is perhaps the only reason they’re outside the playoff picture right now.
