Max Eberl downplays the notion that Bayern Munich is too dependent on Jamal Musiala; uses…

A statement made by Toni Kroos wherein he said that Bayern Munich is too dependent on 21-year-old Jamal Musiala is making rounds in the footballing world. For Bayern sporting director Max Eberl, he referred to FC Barcelona and Real Madrid when they had Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo respectively as parallels.

“Remember Lionel Messi at Barcelona and Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. They are simply great players who can decide games”, Eberl said (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “Jamal can do that too, we know that. We all know what a great player he is”.

Messi and Ronaldo put up insane numbers at their peak so it’s not hard to see why Musiala can’t do that. Simply put, what Kroos said was true, but it doesn’t mean that it shouldn’t be that way. Bayern is Musiala FC and if it brings good results, so be it.
