Valencia will be forced to make do without the contributions of two of the club’s star names in their upcoming meeting with Real Valladolid.
That’s according to **[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/valencia/20241210/1002368655/gaya-mamardashvili-bajas-seguras-nuevo-jose-zorrilla.html)**, who point towards Giorgi Mamardashvili and José Gayà as the pair in question.
Goalkeeper Mamardashvili and defender Gayà picked up respective fitness issues over the weekend, en route to Valencia’s disappointing defeat at the hands of Rayo Vallecano.
The pair, in turn, were put through a round of medical tests on Monday.
And as much confirmed injuries for both, Mamardashvili suffering with a quad problem, and Gayà with a ‘small injury to his hamstring’.
The exact length of absence awaiting the duo is as of yet unconfirmed, but both are certain to miss out this Friday, when Los Che make the trip to the Estadio José Zorrilla for a La Liga meeting with Real Valladolid.
Despite returning to group training on Tuesday, Dimitri Foulquier is also expected to be unavailable for the clash.
