Bill Belichick Reportedly Making Insane Demands Amid Job Search

Bill Belichick reportedly has agreed to become the next coach at North Carolina, but only if they’re willing to give into a few demands.

Belichick’s decision, which was [reported by Ollie Connolly](https://x.com/OllieConnolly/status/1866522057791668538) of The Read-Optional, is all dependent on whether the school is willing to accept terms outlined in a 400-page “organizational bible” with structure, payment plans and staffing choices all outlined. Connolly, who first reported that Steve Belichick [would become head coach in waiting](https://nesn.com/2024/12/bill-belichicks-north-carolina-interest-reportedly-has-strings-attached/) should his father accept the position, revealed some more pertinent information to the demands.

The Tar Heels would have to agree to salary minimums by position, would have to hire two staffs — a coaching staff and a recruitment staff, the latter of which would run by a sitting college general manager who would require a buyout, and would have to be agreed upon by the athletic director, chancellor, board of trustees and boosters.

Belichick has two versions of his manifesto — one for the NFL and one for the NCAA.

UNC has already received pushback from trustees, per Connolly, as the investment would overhaul the school’s approach to football. Belichick is said to be unsure if the school will meet the demands and is unwilling to negotiate, with an answer expected by Wednesday.
