Just when it looked like Arsenal’s title tilt was back on track, the Gunners dropped points to Fulham on Sunday.
Arsenal have now failed to beat Fulham in three consecutive league matches, and Sunday’s game at Craven Cottage was particularly frustrating.
Indeed, Arsenal dominated proceedings against Marco Silva’s side at the weekend, but, unfortunately, Mikel Arteta’s men couldn’t make the breakthrough.
Arsenal thought they’d won the game late on via a Bukayo Saka goal, but Gabriel Martinelli was offside during the build-up.
Speaking on The Weekend Wrap, Don Hutchison has been discussing Martinelli’s performance against Fulham, and he slammed the Brazilian for his poor movement, labelling the attacker as lazy during the game.

Gabriel Martinelli labelled as lazy
Hutchison shared his verdict on Martinelli and his performance against Fulham.
The pundit called the attacker lazy during the game, claiming that his runs offside were simply a by-product of his sloppiness.
“You need that centre-forward that killer who will get you three points out of nowhere. If you keep dropping points that will put pressure on Havertz as a false nine. Jesus came off the bench, Martinelli was a little bit lazy I would say when he was running into offside positions, but I would credit Fulham for the way they played,” Hutchison said.

Hutchison criticised the £6m man here, and that’s not the first time the Brazilian has come under fire this season.
Indeed, Martinelli has been criticised on a number of occasions this term, and the stats show why he’s been under the spotlight.

Goals 3
Assists 2
The sad reality is that Martinelli just hasn’t been at his best this term. He’s not creating much in front of goal, and his finishing has been wayward.
Arsenal are apparently looking at fresh left wing options, and they could land a substantial upgrade.
Arsenal want Nico Williams from Athletic Club, while Arsenal are also looking at Rafael Leao.
Martinelli really needs to step up his performances this season. Otherwise, he may soon find himself on the chopping block.
