Manchester United travel to Czechia to face Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League group phase on Thursday night.
The Red Devils have endured a mixed couple of weeks under new head coach Ruben Amorim, having lost their past two games after winning twice in the Portuguese’s first three matches in charge.
Last time out United were beaten 3-2 by Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford, a result that leaves Amorim’s side 13th in the Premier League table.
The Manchester outfit are also in need of victories in the Europa League, where they sit 12th in the group phase table.
With only the top eight sides qualifying automatically for the knockout stage of the competition, Amorim will be desperate to see his side return from Plzen with all three points.
Away from Thursday’s match, it has emerged that United are chasing a Premier League star.
According to CaughtOffside, both Man United and Chelsea are interested in Southampton’s Tyler Dibling.
The 18-year-old only made his senior debut for the Saints last season, but he has established himself as a regular for the south coast side this term.
Dibling has been one of Southampton’s standout performers so far this season
In total the teenager has played 21 times for Southampton, scoring once and providing two assists.
The youngster – who primarily operates on the right flank but can also play centrally or on the left – has been one of the standout performers for Russell Martin’s struggling side this term, and his performances have attracted interest from elsewhere.
It is claimed that both Chelsea and Man United have scouted the winger this season, although they are not the only clubs to have watched him in action.
Fellow Premier League sides Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and West Ham United have also been monitoring the player, the report says.
Dibling is contracted to Southampton until the summer of 2027, and the south coast side are said to be adamant that he is no for sale.
