Another Steelers star is dealing with hamstring issues

Just when the Steelers start getting perfectly healthy, another small wave of injuries hits ahead of the final four-game stretch of the regular season. Wide receiver George Pickens was a surprise inactive against the Browns with a hamstring injury, and it looks like he’ll miss the team’s Week 15 matchup against the Eagles, as well. That said, he is not the only Steeler dealing with a hamstring injury.

In his weekly press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin noted that safety DeShon Elliott is dealing with hamstring tightness. He noted that both Elliott and defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi would both be questionable this coming week.

Mike Tomlin says DeShon Elliott also has hamstring tightness after Sunday's game.

Larry Ogunjobi and Elliott are both questionable this week, but Mike Tomlin left the light on for both to play.

The Steelers have benefitted greatly from the addition of Elliott in the secondary, as he has been their best free agent acquisition on the defensive side of the ball in quite sometime. He has been the top safety on the roster this season, being a versatile weapon defending both the pass and run with great success. The Steelers will need all hands on deck to thwart an Eagles team that has won nine consecutive games, so being without Elliott would be a massive loss.
