Leicester City and Aston Villa are monitoring the Chelsea midfielder’s availability ahead of the January transfer window.
Chelsea could allow summer signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to leave the club in January in search of more playing time as he struggles for minutes at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues forked out £30 million to bring the 26-year-old to West London from Leicester City in July. The midfielder reunited with Enzo Maresca having powered Leicester City to promotion last season with 12 goals and 14 assists in the second tier.
Dewsbury-Hall has played just 55 minutes in the Premier League so far this season and has found himself in and out of the matchday squad. He's enjoyed more minutes in the Europa Conference League and Carabao Cup, but it's not been the start to life at Chelsea that he will have hoped for after such an impressive campaign last term.
Football Insider reports that Leicester City could make a 'sensational' attempt to re-sign the player in January as they fight for Premier League survival under new boss Ruud van Nistelrooy. The outlet had already claimed earlier this month that Chelsea have transfer listed the player but want to at least make back the £30 million paid a few months ago.

That fee is believed to be more than Leicester City would be willing to pay, which has made a potential loan move a more likely option should Dewsbury-Hall want to return to the King Power Stadium. Aston Villa are also named as potential suitors in the report.
The midfielder signed a five-year contract with Chelsea this summer and, at the time, he said: "It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player. This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here. I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to show everybody what I can do."
Speaking about the player's minutes in November, Maresca said: “I’m very happy with Kiernan. We need to understand that Kiernan was the main player at Leicester. He arrived here now and he’s not the main player, now he’s one of the players. For him, and any player in the world, you need to adapt mentally.
“You go from: ‘Okay, I’m the main player here’ to being one of the players. That period requires a bit of time where you understand that and adapt that.”
