Jarrod Bowen is the first name of the West Ham teamsheet right now.

The England winger is the Hammers’ captain, their talisman, the dangerman who makes things happen.

Never has that been on display more than in Monday’s 2-1 win over Wolves (9 December) where Bowen assisted and scored to earn his side a huge three points.

But his impressive form in a team that has underwhelmed for large parts of the campaign continues to bring new admirers and it seems as though the Irons are readying themselves for a potential replacement if the need arises.

No one wants to see Bowen leave of course, but a report from Caught Offside (10 December) suggests the Hammers are casting their net out for a long-term replacement.

Are West Ham looking at Jarrod Bowen replacement?

According to the reputable online outlet, sources have said the Hammers are among the clubs looking at exciting Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.

Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Aston Villa are also named as interested parties in the 18-year-old, who has been a rare bright note for the struggling Saints.

Caught Offside add that Southampton are unlikely to sell just yet and a £20.6million asking price has been set for the teenager, who plays predominantly on the wing but has also featured in midfield.

He scored his first Premier League goal in a 1-1 draw against Ipswich back in September and is drawing plenty of admiring glances from some of the division’s heavy hitters.

With an exciting future ahead, this could be a great signing for West Ham and one with an eye on the long-term future of the club.

However, it might also mean there is a possibility Bowen might eventually leave for pastures new, and there would be shortage of suitors for him.

At 27-years-old, though, he will have to make a move soon meaning Dibling could serve as his replacement in the side.

In addition to this, Southampton have set an asking price of “at least” £20.6million meaning the Hammers may need some funds to fend off the interest in the youngster from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
