The Golden State Warriors made a surprising decision recently.
Steve Kerr moved Draymond Green to the bench to accommodate Jonathan Kuminga.
Green had been playing as well as he usually does.
But the team needed to change things up, so they opted to give the young star another opportunity.
Nonetheless, he might not even finish the season in the Bay area.
According to a report by ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Kuminga’s name keeps popping up in potential trade rumors.

Shelburne adds that team owner Joe Lacob has always been a big fan of Kuminga and doesn’t want to trade him, but other teams keep inquiring about his availability.
The Warriors are reportedly looking to get another star who can help Stephen Curry win a championship now, and Kuminga might not be that player.
As good and promising as he is, he’s been up and down when allowed to prove his worth as a starter, and the Warriors might not want to wait until he figures things out, knowing that their championship window might shut down sooner rather than later.
Draymond Green raved about Kuminga and claimed to be fine with the move, stating that he didn’t see it as a demotion.
This will be an interesting story to follow as the trade deadline approaches.
