Bournemouth will demand over £40 million to part ways with 21-year-old full-back Milos Kerkez, a target for Chelsea and Liverpool.
According to a report by Football Insider, Milos Kerkez is the subject of interest from Liverpool. The Bournemouth full-back is also a target for Chelsea ahead of the two transfer windows next year. Meanwhile, the Cherries want at least £40 million to part ways with the Hungarian international.
The rise and rise of Milos Kerkez
Milos Kerkez has been one of the best young players in the Premier League since joining AFC Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in July 2023. The Serbia-born full-back did not encounter teething problems in England, excelling in the top flight despite his lack of experience.
The 21-year-old has gone from strength to strength with every passing week and has started all 15 Premier League games thus far this season for Bournemouth. Kerkez has turned out nearly 50 times thus far for the Cherries while chipping in with one goal and three assists.
Meanwhile, Kerkez’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. A move across the Premier League might be on the cards for the Hungarian international next year, with Chelsea and Liverpool among his prospective suitors ahead of the two transfer windows in 2025.
Move across the Premier League on the cards?
Milos Kerkez has been on Chelsea’s radar for a long time. The West London outfit also mulled over signing the youngster in the summer transfer window before the deal failed to see the light of day. The continued interest in the Bournemouth full-back is understandable, considering Ben Chilwell does not have a Chelsea future and will likely depart from Stamford Bridge next month.
As for Liverpool, Kerkez has emerged as a top target for the 2025 summer transfer window. Andrew Robertson has been an asset for the Merseyside club, and Kostas Tsimikas has been a top-class backup. However, the former is on the wrong side of 30, and the latter faces an uncertain future at Anfield. So, Kerkez is a viable target for Liverpool, with the Reds learning his price tag.
Bournemouth will demand at least £40 million to part ways with the 21-year-old Hungarian international next year. Chelsea and Liverpool have the funds to afford a £40 million-plus deal for Kerkez, and it will not be surprising to see the youngster seal a big move next year.
