Former Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé scored the opening goal for Real Madrid in their UEFA Champions League match against Atalanta, leveling his goal tally with Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.
It’s been a season of highs and lows for the 25-year-old since his summer move from PSG to Madrid on a free transfer. At times, he seems to be settling in, while other moments have raised doubts about his future at the club.
Nonetheless, on Tuesday, Mbappé became the second youngest player to reach 50 goals in the Champions League, behind only Lionel Messi.

His milestone goal not only put Real Madrid in the lead but also saw him match Salah in the race for 50 goals in the competition, with Mbappé being seven years younger than Salah.

Despite this achievement, the night for Mbappé was cut short as the winger left the match midway through the first halfafter suffering an injury. It’s another hurdle the forward will need to overcome as he attempts to find consistency with the LaLiga side.
