Liverpool pulled themselves over the line to grab a 1-0 win over Girona in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Reds were not at their best in what was a forgettable game in Catalonia, but still managed to pick up another three points.
The win makes it six out of six for Liverpool in the Champions League this season and virtually guarantees a finish in the top eight of the new-look League Phase.
While it was a good night in that respect for Arne Slot and the Liverpool squad, it was not all positive.
Too many Liverpool players were off it on a night where they could easily have been punished.
And although he picked up the Man of the Match award on the night, left-back Andy Robertson recognised what he felt was wrong with the Reds on Tuesday.

Andy Robertson unhappy with uncharacteristic Reds
Liverpool could easily have come out of Tuesday’s game with a draw or even a defeat against Girona.
Given the position they’ve put themselves in, that would not have been the end of the world, necessarily.

Nevertheless, the Reds rallied to ensure that their perfect record remains intact. They deserve credit for that. But speaking after the game via liverpoolfc.com, Robertson admitted that Liverpool were not anywhere near their best.
“I think we had to be a wee bit more in control [in the second-half], sometimes in the first half especially it was a bit of a basketball match – back and forward – and that’s what they wanted. We left ourselves too open and gave our goalkeeper too much to do, which isn’t like us,” he said.

“Our pressing and things like that were maybe a wee bit off, but then when we were on the ball we had a bit of control, we created chances and we could have scored a couple.
“We got a clean sheet, we won the game. We can play a lot better than we did but three points is crucial, especially away from home in the Champions League.”
Liverpool must be better vs Fulham
That is now two games in a row in which Liverpool have been lucky not to have been beaten.
As well as during Wednesday’s game against Newcastle, the Reds were sloppy in possession and too easy to play through at Girona.
On another day they could easily have lost this game. In reality, perhaps Alisson Becker is the only reason they didn’t.
Having Alisson back against Fulham will help once again, but Liverpool cannot be as bad as this again on Saturday.
As Fulham showed once again by getting a draw from Arsenal on Sunday, they are a well drilled team. Another performance like this will not be well received at Anfield.
