A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Wednesday morning, December 11, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.
In its bulletin, PHIVOLCS said the earthquake struck the province at 5:26 a.m. Its epicenter was traced some 296 kilometers southeast of Sarangani Island
The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 10 km.
PHIVOLCS said no damage was expected, but aftershocks were likely to occur. **—LDF, GMA Integrated News**
