Paris Saint-Germain needed to secure all three points against RB Salzburg to keep their aspirations of advancing to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League alive. After Gonçalo Ramos opened the scoring, it was another Portuguese player adding an insurance goal.
In the second half, Nuno Mendes gave PSG breathing room after scoring in the 72nd minute off a left-footed shot from the center of the box to beat Salzburg goalkeeper Alexander Schlager.
The contest allowed the Parisians to secure all three points but, more importantly, find their scoring boots.
