FSG's empty promises have let another fanbase down and Liverpool fans will know exactly how the Boston Red Sox will be feeling.
It was supposed to be a transformational week for FSG's baseball franchise. For years, the Red Sox have struggled to get back to their pinnacle.

Without an All Star player like Mookie Betts, who departed for the LA Dodgers back in 2019, the Red Sox haven't really been able to kick on in MLB and meet the high expectations of the fans.
As one of the oldest and most historic franchises in the league naturally, the Red Sox will always be expected to be in the running for the World Series.
But recently they haven't even really got close.
Liverpool fans will know how Red Sox fans are feeling
During the beginning of the off-season FSG had made plenty of promises to its baseball fanbase to invest heavily in the free agency market.
One of the Red Sox's biggest targets was Juan Soto, who has established himself as one of the rising stars of baseball. However, while the Red Sox tried to recruit him in the end they had failed in their attempts.
Soto has instead signed a record-breaking deal worth close to £600m with the New York Mets, which will be bitterly disappointing for Red Sox fans.
FSG will be now left to scramble in the free agency market in order to add further reinforcements to the Red Sox's roster.
But there is no guarantee they will be able to land someone of the value of Soto. There are few players in baseball who are the same level as the Dominican Republic star.

Liverpool fans will know this feeling. Promises of heavy investment before every transfer window only for that investment never to come through.
Links with players like Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe or Moises Caicedo for big money transfers only for Liverpool to never actually pull those transfers off and sign their second or third choices - some of which have paid off to varying levels of success.
FSG has done a myriad of wonderful things for the club. There is no denying their investment has transformed Liverpool. But it's so easy to fall prey to their empty promises as well.
They have delivered on many fronts but have also disappointed on many fronts. That is the constant dilemma with FSG.
And that is why Liverpool fans will be feeling the Red Sox's pain at the moment.
