HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A former NFL football player and Huntsville native is taking his talents from the end zone to the classroom for a special Book tour.
Tre Rogers made a pit stop in the Tennessee Valley to help promote his new children’s book the Dream Catcher.
The book follows a boy with autism as he embarks on his journey to become a pro football player.
Rogers spent the day Tuesday at Blossomwood Elementary, sharing the story with students to help encourage them to achieve the goals.
“It’s an amazing feeling to see them embrace me and embrace the book and sit down and listen and want to learn more about autism,” Rogers said. “Just telling me their dreams, it was an amazing feeling.”
Rogers' book can be bought here.
