Baylor Cupp Makes NFL Debut, Patrick Mahomes Shines Again: Red Raiders in the NFL Week 14

As the Texas Tech Red Raiders prepare for their Liberty Bowl matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks on Dec. 27, several former players made their way through the NFL schedule in Week 14.

The Red Raiders saw a new player in the league as former tight end Baylor Cupp was promoted to the Kansas City Chiefs roster for the first time this season. Cupp and quarterback Patrick Mahomes saw action against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Let's take a look at all the former Red Raiders in the NFL and how they performed in Week 14.

S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (Arizona Cardinals) - The safety saw action on 33 plays - mostly on special teams - and recorded three tackles with one solo, all on defensive plays in the Cards' home loss to the Seahawks.

DL Broderick Washington Jr. (Baltimore Ravens) - Washington Jr. and the Ravens were on a bye in Week 14.

OL Terence Steele (Dallas Cowboys) - Steele made his 13th start of the season helping running back Rico Dowdle hit the 100-yard mark for the second straight week.

DE Myles Cole (Jacksonville Jaguars) - Cole was listed as inactive before the Jags' win over the Titans.

QB Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) - Mahomes helped lead the Chiefs to their ninth consecutive division title with a 19-17 win over the Chargers. Mahomes went 24-of-37 for 210 yards and a touchdown in the win.

TE Baylor Cupp (Kansas City Chiefs) - Cupp made his rookie NFL debut after being activated to the 53-man roster earlier in the week. Cupp played six snaps on offense and saw one target and four more snaps on special teams.

DE Tyree Wilson (Las Vegas Raiders) - Wilson got his second start of the season and finished with two tackles with one solo as the Raiders fell to the Buccaneers 28-13.

LB Jordyn Brooks (Miami Dolphins) - Brooks and the Dolphins eliminated Aaron Rodgers and the division rival Jets from postseason play with a 32-26 win. Brooks led Miami once again with nine tackles with four solo and tallied one sack and one tackle for loss. He added a quarterback hit and a pass deflection. Brooks has totaled at least 110 tackles for his fourth straight season.

LB Sam Eguavoen (New York Jets) - Eguavoen tallied one tackle on 14 special teams snaps.

DB Tyler Owens (Washington Commanders) - Owens and the Commanders were on a bye for Week 14.
