**ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —** The Broncos have added a young defensive player to their team.
Denver signed linebacker K.J. Cloyd to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.
An undrafted rookie who competed this offseason with the Vikings and Giants, Cloyd finished his collegiate career at Miami.
Cloyd recorded 44 total tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks in his final collegiate season. Prior to playing for the Hurricanes, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound player spent three years at Louisville.
Denver had an open spot on its practice squad and was not required to make a corresponding move.
