Per a report from NBA Insider Evan Sidery, Robert Williams III is an increasingly tantalizing trade target for a number of NBA ballclubs. Sidery’s claims come via his post on X (formerly Twitter) that the “Bucks, Lakers, Suns, and Rockets are among the contending teams who have recently checked in on Williams.”
As we inch closer to the February 6 trade deadline, we should expect trade chatter to heat up. Williams’ market value appears to be headed north as teams vying for a long post-season run seek to bolster their already potent rosters.
The Blazers acquired center Robert Williams III in a 2023 trade with the Boston Celtics in exchange for Jrue Holiday. In seven games this season for Portland Williams has averaged 9.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals on 71.1 percent from the field for the Portland Trail Blazers.
