Derrick Henry took some time during the Baltimore Ravens bye week to get a haircut.
King Henry would ditch the trademark thick dreadlocks, a look he has been rocking since his college days at Alabama.
During the bye week, Henry linked up with Bronx-based hair stylist TimaaSlayz. She posted a video to her Instagram page showing the new haircut. Over 400,00 followers got a sneak peek at Henry without long, thick dreads.

A video of Henry surfaced on social media from Ravens practices today without his trademark dreads.
The tweet from Carita Parks, the CEO of Double Take Sports, had a caption that read, "No more dreads hanging out of Derrick Henry's helmet. He cut off his signature hairstyle during the bye week."

The Ravens running back once utilized his trademark look in his Alabama days. Fans of the Crimson Tide would wear hats with dreadlocks coming out of the back to show support for Henry.
Since being selected in the second round by the Tennessee Titans in the 2016 NFL draft, Henry has gone on to be a powerhouse. He's become a once-in-a-generation running back and is the ninth running back in NFL history to rush for at least 2,000 yards a season.

Henry is in the MVP conversation this year. He's second in the league, behind Saquon Barkley, in rushing at 1,407 yards. He's tied for first with 13 rushing touchdowns.
Hopefully, the haircut won't take Henry off track, but given his pace this season, it's nearly impossible to see that happen.
