Greetings, Bengals fans!
In what was a thrilling Monday Night Football showdown, the Bengals came away with a 27-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys, keeping their slim postseason hopes alive.
While the offense did plenty of damage as usual, it was the defense that stepped up and forced several key stops in the second half to preserve the win. It marked just the fourth time the Bengals have held their opponent to 20 points or less this season. It also came without the services of standout linebacker Logan Wilson, who is essentially the quarterback of this defense.
So, did this defensive performance do enough to take Lou Anarumo off the hot seat for 2025? He’s been under constant fire this season for his defense struggling so mightily. But this is the Bengals we’re talking about, who love to be ultra-conservative when it comes to firing coaches, so this may be enough ammo for them to keep Anarumo for the 2025 season.
