The San Francisco 49ers finally put a win on the board with a dominant 38-13 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 14, breaking a relatively ugly three-game losing streak.
In doing so, for the time being at least, Niners quarterback Brock Purdy probably silenced some of his many critics with an impressive outing, completing 20-of-25 passes for 325 yards and two touchdown passes.
The 49ers defense also showed out in a big way, sacking rookie quarterback Caleb Williams seven times and also forced a fumble from the Bears' No. 1 overall pick.
Given all of that, it might be safe to say that Sunday afternoon was not a memorable NFL experience for Williams, who bluntly stated, "We got our [expletive] kicked today."
But not all was lost for the 23-year-old Williams, as he seemed to take the blowout loss in stride, including some great exchanges with 49ers All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner.
Thanks to some entertaining footage from "Inside the NFL," mics managed to pick up the following exchange after Warner nearly ran the rookie over after the play was already dead.
"You good?" Warner asked after greatly slowing up upon realizing the play was over.
"Yeah, I thought you were about to kill me!" Williams hilariously exclaimed.
Later on in the game, Williams hit a spin move on the 49ers star linebacker that evaded the tackle.
The chatty Warner naturally circled right back to Williams when the play was over to compliment said spin move.
"Oh, that's good!" Warner said to the sliding Williams. "I like ... that's good. That's good, that's a good spin."
Following the game, the two had a pretty wholesome exchange at midfield, with Warner initially saying, "Tried to hit that spin move on me, huh?"
Technically speaking, Williams didn't just try, he actually did hit "All-Pro Fred" with the spin move.
Nonetheless, the 2022 Heisman Trophy Winner offered nothing but respect to Warner, saying, "You're a hell of a player" as the two embraced with nothing but smiles.
The only problem with the above clip is probably that it was only 26 seconds long.
When it comes to players like Warner, who seem to thrive on a spirited back and forth with opposing players throughout any given football game, fans likely wouldn't be complaining if NFL Films were to drop a full hour of this kind of stuff on a regular basis.
