Explosive Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher could avoid missing time after groin injury

**PITTSBURGH --** [Pittsburgh Steelers](https://www.pennlive.com/steelers/2024/12/browns-cut-ties-with-top-draft-bust-after-ugly-day-against-pittsburgh-steelers.html) defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi left the team’s game against the Cleveland Browns with a groin injury in the first half, but the injury is not as significant as the team anticipated, and Ogunjobi could play against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.

Ogunjobi and safety DeShon Elliott will likely be limited early in the week, but head coach Mike Tomlin left the light on for both to play this week. He said the team was optimistic that they would play.

Ogunjobi will need some level of participation to play on Sunday. While Ogunjobi’s injuries have piled up and hurt the team in years past, this season, he has done a better job of staying healthy and on the field. He said before the season that this was the healthiest he has felt during his tenure in Pittsburgh.

If he can not play, then Montravius Adams could come off injured reserve to help with the team’s interior defensive line depth. Dean Lowry and Isaiahh Loudermilk would fill in more for the Steelers as well.
