SEOUL -- South Korea's National Police Agency arrested its own chief early Wednesday for alleged insurrection in relation to President Yoon Suk Yeol's failed attempt to impose martial law last week, as law enforcement authorities accelerate investigations into the event.
The NPA's special investigation team said that it arrested Commissioner Cho Ji-ho at around 4 a.m. after questioning him since Tuesday evening.
