Dillon Gabriel, quarterback for the unbeaten and top-ranked Oregon Ducks, has accepted his invitation to play in the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Gabriel, who ranks among the all-time leaders in major college football in career passing yards and touchdown passes, is the third quarterback confirmed for the upcoming Senior Bowl, along with Notre Dame’s Riley Leonard (a Fairhope native) and Louisville’s Tyler Shough. The annual college football all-star game and NFL draft showcase takes place Feb. 1 at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Gabriel has passed for 3,558 yards and 28 touchdowns this season for the Ducks, who are 13-0 and the No. 1 seed for the upcoming College Football Playoff. He was Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year this season and is one of four finalists for the 2024 Heisman Trophy, which will be presented on Saturday night.
A Hawaii native, Gabriel spent three seasons at Central Florida and two more at Oklahoma before transferring to Oregon this past offseason. In 63 career games, his 18,423 passing yards and 153 touchdown passes rank second in NCAA FBS history behind only Houston’s Case Keenum, who threw for 19,217 yards and 155 touchdowns in 57 games from 2007-11.
Gabriel joins defensive lineman Jordan Burch, linebacker Jeffrey Bassa, offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius, tight end Terrance Ferguson and wide receiver Tez Johnson — an Alabama native who began his college career at Troy — as Oregon players confirmed for the 2025 Senior Bowl. Other players of local/in-state interest including Auburn running back Jarquez Hunter and linebackers Eugene Asante and Jalen McLeod, Alabama safety Malachi Moore and punter James Burnip and Alabama A&M offensive lineman Carson Vinson.
Senior Bowl roster additions will be announced periodically leading up to game week. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 1, with television coverage on NFL Network.
