The midfielder made his 150th Premier League appearance on Sunday as AFC Bournemouth scored in the 87th and 90+5th minutes to beat the Tractor Boys 2-1 at Portman Road.
Cook was deployed across the pitch, starting in his favoured midfield spot before slotting in at right back once Adam Smith was substituted after 63 minutes.
He then returned to midfield as James Hill came on for the final four minutes – as Enes Unal and Dango Ouattara came off the bench to score Bournemouth’s goals to turn the game around.
Speaking to the media after the game, Cook said the late victory was testament to the commitment of the squad.

“I think physically we played three games in short space of time and we always know we're going to come up on top towards the end of the game because of the fit group of lads we have there, we work incredibly hard and we battled.
“It was a tough game, tough place to come, but we got there in the end.”
Asked about the momentum of the team, after three wins on the bounce against Wolves, Spurs and now Ipswich, Cook said: “We feel like obviously we've had some wins against some top teams.
“Every game is different, but to get a few on the bounce is really good for us.
“We want to start looking up now and trying to really get some momentum and keep it going and see how far we can climb.”
He also said the belief in the squad to grind out results is there, saying: “We've been together for a few years now, this team, and we've proven to people to make sure we can come back and win games, especially when we're one goal down, two goals down, whoever it’s against.

“So, it’s a great team, great group of lads first of all, the work ethic, the commitment is really there and as you can see, the class is there as well.”
Asked if the Cherries are on course for a top 10 finish, even at this early stage in the league, Cook said: “We’re in and around it at the moment.
“Obviously, football is a crazy game and you have ups, you have downs, but we want to just try and keep some momentum going and try and get as many wins as we can on the bounce and see where it takes us.”
