GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay is receiving a much-needed check Tuesday night as a partial payment for the annual “Touchdowns for Hunger” Program.
The program aims to fight hunger in our state, by donating $2,000 for every touchdown the Packers score during the regular season.
So far, the team has scored 40 touchdowns, totaling $80,000.
“They too are pledging $15,000 to go to Paul’s Pantry this year. So from the Green Bay Packers, $15,000,” John Kuhn, the former Packers fullback said.
Since “Touchdowns for Hunger” first started in 2002, it has contributed nearly $2 million and provided more than one million meals to people in need.
