There are three weeks until the transfer window opens and it remains to be seen how active Liverpool will be.
The countdown is on until 2025, and the Reds will soon face the prospect of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold being able to talk to other clubs. The trio have each received an offer from Liverpool now but their futures remain uncertain despite an exciting start under Arne Slot.
The summer saw Slot only add Federico Chiesa to his squad, while Giorgi Mamardashvili was signed before returning to Valencia on loan. The Dutchman is yet to have the opportunity to shape the squad beyond through his coaching.

Trent Alexander-Arnold latest
Liverpool's academy product is set to see his contract expire at the end of the season and has drawn interest from Real Madrid as a result of his situation. Nevertheless, Sky Sports report there have been 'positive talks'
The defender's situation has been described as 'more complex' than that of his teammates. Alexander-Arnold continues to draw interest from Real Madrid, while Salah and Van Dijk both seem to hold a greater preference to remain with Liverpool.
The report suggests a deal for Alexander-Arnold could prove to be the most expensive deal to get over the line.
Prospect interested in Premier League move
Club Brugge ace Joel Ordonez is open to a Premier League move amid reported interest from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea. The 20-year-old central defender was signed from Independient del Valle in 2022 and he quickly rose to the Belgian side's first team.
Now, Club Brugge manager Nicky Hayen has admitted his side might not be able to prevent a January move.
Hayen said, per Sport Witness: “That’s ultimately what you want as a player. What makes me happy is that Joel always does his job despite the interest.
“You have no control over when that transfer will happen. It could be in the winter, but it could also be after this season, which we would prefer.”
In August, Ordóñez said: “The Premier League, I would like that."
Recall clause
Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick is relaxed over the prospect of Liverpool recalling on-loan star Ben Doak. The former Manchester United midfielder believes player and club are being served well by the move but isn't losing any sleep over what his parent club may or may not do.
"I’m quite calm about it to be honest. No drama," he said when asked of Liverpool's recall clause. "I think we are calm.
"There are loads of things, ifs and buts and changes in football - that’s transfer windows. I’ve said it to you enough times, but I’m really calm about it to be honest.
"I’m happy with the way that things are going and we’ll take what comes next and deal with it. Ben’s happy, we’re happy, he’s in a good place. You can see in his body language and demeanour he’s happy. He keeps working hard and he’s enjoying it here and it’s been effective for us. As long as that carries on then we’re all good."
