Chicago Bulls: Insider Makes Concerning Zach LaVine Trade Claim

The Chicago Bulls have been much better than anybody could have expected coming into the season after they parted ways with DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso in the summer. They are 10-15 and sit in 10th in the East, very much in the mix for a play-in spot.

Zach LaVine's form has been one of the major reasons behind the Bulls' modest success so far this season.

Many doubted whether LaVine was still capable of delivering at a high level after a long-term injury. But he has shown that he remains one of the most natural scorers in the league and can be an asset to many teams across the league going forward.

The expectation is for the Bulls to trade LaVine at some point despite his strong start to the season. The organization have consistently missed the playoffs during his time in Chicago and it is time for a change, and a rebuild.

Unfortunately, it looks like there is not much trade interest in LaVine at the moment despite his recent form. According to Zach Bachar of Bleacher Report, Brian Windhorst on the latest episode of The Hoop Collective: "We know that he's been on the trade block for a year now, at least. Yet, I hear nothing about LaVine on the trade market and I don't think it's because the Bulls aren't interested in trading him."

LaVine's massive contract would certainly be a stumbling block when it comes to any potential trade. Many teams might also be concerned by his injury history and limitations on the defensive end of the court.

It is very possible that LaVine's name could draw a lot more interest next year, as we closer to the playoffs. He could be a solid addition to a number of contenders who could do with more shooting. The Los Angeles Lakers are a team who have been linked with the 29-year-old lately.
