A group of students from Rashid Centre for People of Determination, their families and others have attended the annual Christmas Tree Lighting event at a local hotel in Dubai and became part of the festival season and holiday spirit.

The festive season activities were hosted by DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square which set up a series of festival activities as part of its annual event, bringing together families, children, and the community to welcome the holiday spirit in style.

The evening was filled with heartwarming moments as guests sipped on rich hot chocolate, indulged in the hotel’s special gingerbread cookies, and enjoyed a delightful meet & greet with Santa Claus himself.

Adding to the holiday magic, a talented choir from GEMS International School Al Waha serenaded the audience with enchanting Christmas carols, spreading joy and festive cheer.

In the spirit of inclusivity and giving back, the event welcomed children and guests from the Rashid Center for People of Determination, who joined in the celebrations. Special gifts, sponsored by Mumzworld, added smiles to the faces of all the children in attendance.

Eva Muscheid, General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences, said: “The Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is a cherished tradition for us at DoubleTree M Square. It’s a time to come together as a community, create joyful memories, and share the true spirit of the season — love, kindness, and giving back. We are delighted to have partnered with GEMS International School Al Waha, the Rashid Center, and Mumzworld to make this evening truly magical for everyone involved.”

Students from the Rashid Center expressed their excitement and thanked the hotel staff and management for hosting a memorable evening.

The event was held in the hotel lobby, beautifully adorned with festive decorations and twinkling lights, creating the perfect ambiance to ring in the holiday season. With free entry, the evening offered something for everyone—whether it was the warm drinks, the cookies, the music, or simply the opportunity to celebrate with loved ones.
