Human Rights Cause
On the occasion of December 10, the International Human Rights Day, we pay tribute to the women and men who have kept the flame of the human rights cause alive through their sacrifices.
Freedom, human rights, the right to gender equality, and the rejection of religious coercion have been the subject of the ongoing struggle of the Iranian people against the ruling regime for the past 46 years. They have fought for these principles steadfastly and with enormous courage.
More than 100,000 of the best sons and daughters of Iran have lost their lives in the fight against this regime, including 30,000 political prisoners who were executed in 1988 under a brief order by Khomeini, the founder of this regime.

How Choosing Power over the People Is Driving Iran’s Regime further Toward its Downfall
The clerical regime is facing serious challenges rooted in its lack of social support. The economic and livelihood crisis that has affected a significant portion of society has put additional pressure on the regime, undermining its legitimacy day by day. Under such circumstances, the clerical regime, to maintain its power, not only ignores the basic demands of the people and fails to improve their living conditions but also pursues repressive and fear-inducing measures such as executions.
In a press conference on November 28, the Speaker of the Majlis (Parliament), Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said, “Our power does not lie in missiles; it lies in having the people’s hearts with us.” This remark reflects his awareness and acknowledgment of the depth of the legitimacy crisis. However, the glaring contradiction between this claim and the regime’s fear-driven policies is noteworthy. He emphasizes the importance of public approval on one hand, while on the other, the regime remains focused on advancing missile programs and engaging in proxy wars in the region.

In a joint statement issued on Monday, December 9, Britain, France, and Germany—collectively known as the European Troika—strongly condemned the Iranian regime’s recent advancements in its nuclear program. Citing a report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the trio called for an immediate halt to Iran’s nuclear escalation and urged the regime to reverse course.
The statement specifically criticized Iran’s significant enrichment of uranium to 60% purity at its underground Fordow facility. The European powers expressed grave concern over the regime’s increased deployment of advanced centrifuges and preparations to expand its enrichment capacity, which they assessed as dangerous developments with no credible civilian justification.

International Human Rights Day and the Extensive Violation of Female Political Prisoners’ Rights in Iran
December 10, International Human Rights Day, serves as a powerful reminder of the foundational pillars of freedom of expression and human dignity. On this day, we honor the brave women and men who have kept the flame of human rights alive through their sacrifices and bloodshed. For over four decades, the struggle for freedom, women’s equality, and the rejection of religious coercion has defined the confrontation between the Iranian people and the ruling regime. Throughout this time, Iranians have shown unparalleled courage in resisting tyranny.
The clerical regime’s atrocities are infamous: executing teenage girls, killing elderly mothers and pregnant women, assassinating religious leaders of other faiths, and employing inhumane methods of torture. Tens of thousands of courageous women and girls who stood against this misogynistic dictatorship have faced brutal torture or execution.

The Financial Times, citing a source within the Iranian government, reported that Tehran had lost its trust in Bashar al-Assad long ago. The source told the Financial Times, “Bashar al-Assad‘s inaction cost us dearly. He aligned himself with regional actors who promised him a future that never materialized.”
According to the report, Tehran had been “disappointed” with Bashar al-Assad for over a year. Some considered him an obstacle and a burden, while others labeled him a traitor.
The newspaper quoted its source saying that in a recent meeting with Abbas Araghchi, Bashar al-Assad had stated that his forces’ withdrawal from Aleppo was “tactical.” However, Iran’s foreign minister responded that Iran was no longer in a position to send additional forces to support him.
