One former Liverpool player has told a player currently playing for the club that he should now look to leave and go and join Chelsea.
It’s a strange one to see a former Liverpool player encouraging one of their own current players to join Chelsea, but it does make total sense what he is saying.

And to be honest, goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has been linked with Chelsea in recent weeks as well, so you can actually see this noise getting stronger and stronger.
And speaking of noise, the Robert Sanchez not being good enough for Chelsea noises increase by the day as well, with pretty much every pundit believing Chelsea need to replace him as the club’s number one as soon as physically possible. Whether Chelsea will or not remains to be seen, but I believe they will be looking to soon.
Former Liverpool midfielder Jason McAteer thinks Kelleher should now be looking to leave the club and head to Chelsea, because he is better than Sanchez. And he’s absolutely right here to be honest.
What has McAteer said?
Jason McAteer has told Caoimhin Kelleher to join Chelsea next summer.
Kelleher should leave Liverpool
“I think Caoimhin got to the point in his career now where he’s going to have to make a big choice at the end of the season,” McAteer said on beIN Sports. “If he wants a career somewhere else and play rather than just sit on the bench waiting to get in to play in a number of games for Liverpool.
“Chelsea is the big one. (Robert) Sanchez, I don’t think he’s… no. I think you should get Caoimhin out now. I think his valuation certainly would have gone up over the last couple of seasons with what we’ve seen.
“You’re probably maybe looking in the region of 30 to 40 million for him. With Mamardashvili coming in, I think that’s saying to him ‘Go and have a career’.”
