Chelsea loaned goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to Premier League rivals Bournemouth in the last transfer window.
There, Kepa Arrizabalaga has impressed to the point where it now looks like Bournemouth want to sign him permanently.
It was recently reported that Bournemouth are interested in buying Kepa, who has made 10 appearances for them this season.
Chelsea had no room for the 30-year-old in their squad, with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen being their first and second-choice goalkeepers.

Kepa Arrizabalaga’s stance
While Kepa is enjoying his time at Bournemouth, a permanent move there seems far from guaranteed.
In fact, according to Marca, Kepa wants to return to Chelsea in 2025 and then things will be taken from there.
As for one of the goalkeepers who is currently at Chelsea, Jorgensen, ESPN pundit Julien Laurens would like to see him play more.
“I think Jorgensen is way better than Sanchez,” Laurens said when discussing Jorgensen. “I don’t understand why Jorgensen is not playing. I really don’t understand that.”

Kepa Arrizabalaga not an upgrade on Filip Jorgensen
Kepa is having a good season at Bournemouth and amid his struggles at Chelsea, he did put in a bright display every now and then.
“Kepa was fantastic,” former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said after one game back in the 2022/23 campaign.
However, at this moment in time, he is not a better goalkeeper than Jorgensen. Jorgensen has had to settle for a deputy role this term, but when the 22-year-old has played he has been exceptional.
For example, Jorgensen’s performance against Heidenheim in the Conference League was an incredible one. In total, he made 11 saves that day.

After that game, Peter Crouch wanted to see Jorgensen in the Premier League, and the Denmark U21 international did get to play against Southampton. However, Sanchez remains Enzo Maresca‘s No.1 for the time being.
Whatever the case, with Jorgensen and Sanchez around and Mike Penders set to come in next summer, there is simply no room for Kepa. That chapter in Chelsea’s history is over.
