With the situation in Syria escalating following the takeover of the country by rebel factions who toppled dictator Bashar al-Assad, Syrians settled in Ireland are struggling with returning their family members from the region.
On Sunday, rebel forces including Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) captured Damascus and ended the Assad family’s 54-year rule.
