Usually, when we talk about Real Madrid, especially at this point in the season, we are certainly not used to using terms like crisis or problems. Still, this season, the situation is completely different.

In the past EuroLeague season, Real ended the regular season in first place, losing seven games in total.

We are in mid-December today, and in the EuroLeague, Real have already lost 8 games, one more than they lost in the whole of last season.

Such a difficult start to the season in the top European competition in Real's house have not been seen for as many as 22 years when Javier Imbroda was the coach.

Even then, in the 2002-03 season, Real Madrid lost 8 of its first 14 games, and negative results led to the Blancos' failure to advance past the first stage of the competition.

Real are currently in 13th place in the EuroLeague, out of both the playoffs and play-in spots, a scenario that wasn't so easy to imagine just a few months ago.
