As the month of January inches closer, time is running out for FC Barcelona to achieve one of their most important tasks for the upcoming winter transfer window, i.e., the registration of Dani Olmo.
The Spaniard was registered with La Liga in the summer only till January because of Andreas Christensen’s injury, and thus, the Blaugranes will have to register him once again next month.
Inability to do so will not only mean that Flick cannot field him for the rest of the season, but as a recent report indicated, Olmo will also become a free agent in such a scenario because of one of the clauses in his contract.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, neither Barcelona nor the player is concerned about the possibility of him leaving the club for free.
The Blaugranes have blind faith in the midfielder and are working ceaselessly to obtain the required income that will allow them to register him and Pau Victor in January. In this regard, the Catalans have already reached an agreement with Nike, which is yet to be ratified by the assembly.
Furthermore, Barcelona are also working to return to the 1:1 rule, which will not only allow them to sign new players normally but will also generate enough space to get these two players registered.
Similarly, Dani Olmo is also only focusing on being successful at Barcelona and helping his team achieve its objectives for this season.
He has worked for years to be able to be a part of this team, and now having joined his dream club, he does not want to let the opportunity of getting his name written in this club’s history slip away.
For now, both the player and his entourage are waiting for further developments, but they have full trust in the Blaugrana club.
