Approach made for West Ham player keen on exit – Hammers will allow free loan exit

On Tuesday, UOL reported Luizão is expected to leave West Ham United and prioritises a return to Brazil in January.

There was no mention of any clubs that are showing interest and Rádio Inferno shares the latest on this.

They took to Twitter, formerly known as X, to state SC Internacional have included the West Ham player in their target list.

The Brazilian club have prioritised strengthening their defence and have the 22-year-old, Villa Nova’s Jemmes and CSKA Moscow’s Willyan Rocha in their target list.

Globo Esporte back up Internacional’s interest in the Hammers centre-back and provides more on this case.

Luizão arrived at the Premier League side from São Paulo in January 2023 and has still not made his debut for the senior team. Last week, Internacional made contact to ask about his situation at West Ham.

He’s keen on leaving West Ham and returning to his country in the winter market. The defender’s pregnant wife is in Brazil and he wants to stay close to her during this period.

Julen Lopetegui’s side ‘would agree to release’ him on a free loan deal with an option to buy. Internacional only have to pay Luizão’s salary during his loan stay and the report states West Ham’s favourable conditions ‘could facilitate negotiations’.

Internacional had shown interest in the Hammers man in August but ended up betting on Clayton Sampaio and Agustín Rogel. Luizão is back on their radar for next window.
