Wolves lost once again in the Premier League on Monday to leave Gary O’Neil on the brink – or so fans thought.
Despite losing the game with West Ham United which was dubbed ‘El Sackico’, O’Neil is set to be given the Ipswich Town game this weekend, and potentially further games.
It is a suggestion that Wolves are having difficulty getting a replacement for O’Neil.
We know that the club have been talking to different options in recent weeks. It’s thought even Graham Potter was sounded out by Wolves for talks.
But despite that, O’Neil has not been sacked and remains in charge.
This morning, it was reiterated that O’Neil retains the support of the players, and one has now called for unity amid the struggles.

Wolves fans are extremely concerned right now with how things are going.
It’s three defeats in a row now after four games without defeat, and many have just lost faith in O’Neil.

But he’s here to stay, and one man who seems positive the situation will turn around is Hwang Hee-chan.
The South Korean, who’s struggled to start games this season, took to Instagram last night to post a message on his Story.

Uploading a picture of the matchday squad at the London Stadium, he said: “Let’s stay together. We had a tough few times a few years ago as well but we all fought together and overcame them.
“I believe in our team spirit. Let’s just keep going. We can do it we will bounce back.”
Wolves need more from Hwang
It’s admirable to hear players like Hwang and Mario Lemina sending positive messages during this tough time, but fans expect much more.
Hwang has had a really disappointing season this time around, after being one of the team’s star players last term.
Hwang had interest from Marseille in the summer and one wonders if he regrets that move not happening, especially given how little he’s featured this term. It’s not uncommon to see players suffer a dip in form after other clubs have shown transfer interest.
But the 28-year-old has been at Molineux for a few years now and certainly knows what it’s like to go through tough times.
Fans will hope that he can somehow discover his mojo again and help guide Wolves away from the relegation zone.
