On December 5, 2024, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning met with a Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation led by Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in Beijing.
Wang Huning said that under the strategic guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary To Lam, China-Viet Nam relations have maintained sound momentum. China is ready to work with Viet Nam to follow through on the important common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two parties, and jointly and continuously arm themselves with the socialist theory and exchanges and mutual learning. The CPPCC National Committee is willing to maintain close communication and cooperation with the Viet Nam Fatherland Front.
Nguyen Xuan Thang said that over the years, the theoretical seminars between the two parties have been fruitful. Focusing on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the CPV hopes to continuously learn from the CPC's experience in national governance, strengthen the overall leadership of the party, and improve Viet Nam's socialist development system.
