All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they prepare to face AS Monaco.

Arsenal will now be putting the final touches on their preparations for Thursday night’s Champions League clash with AS Monaco. The Gunners fell out of the automatic qualification spots on Tuesday night but can regain their place with a win at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s men slipped up again in the Premier League over the weekend, and there will be big pressure on Saturday’s clash with Everton, a game they will have one eye on already. In the meantime, we have rounded up the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

January transfers an option

Despite reports that Arsenal will not be proactive in the January window, Mikel Arteta has indicated that deals may be on the table for the Gunners. "The window gives us an opportunity to strengthen the team if we feel that is needed and we feel that we have the capacity to do that as well," Arteta said.

"We are on it and just have to assess the situation because it is changing every week. At the moment not for the better, but I'm positive that in a few weeks we're going to be in a better place."

Vlahovic boost

Arsenal have long been linked with a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, who has often come under fire at his current club. According to The Boot Room, the Gunners may get the chance to sign Vlahovic next summer but only on one condition.

It’s claimed Juventus will look to sell the Serbian if he does not pen a new contract and lower his current wage, which is believed to be around £200,000-per-week. Vlahovic has 39 goals in 88 league appearances for The Old Lady, and Arsenal may well find themselves looking for a striker to buy in the next summer window.
