**Han Zheng Meets with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son**

On December 10, 2024, Vice President Han Zheng met with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son in Beijing.
Han Zheng said, China and Viet Nam are fellow companions in the socialist cause and good partners on the road of reform. General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary To Lam made strategic plans for advancing the building of a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future, charting the course for the development of China-Viet Nam relations. Noting that next year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the China-Viet Nam People-to-People Exchange Year, Han Zheng said, the two sides should follow the important common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, maintain strategic communication, expand practical cooperation, consolidate public support, strengthen multilateral coordination and promote deeper and more solid progress in building the China-Viet Nam community with a shared future, so as to bring more benefits to the two peoples.
Bui Thanh Son said that developing long-term friendly relations with China is the consistent proposition, objective requirement, strategic choice and top priority of Viet Nam's diplomacy. Viet Nam firmly adheres to the one-China policy and is willing to work with China to strengthen high-level exchanges, consolidate political mutual trust, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and jointly promote the building of a Viet Nam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
