Lauryn Goodman, 33, has opened up about the relationship footballer Kyle Walker, 34, shares with their eldest child.
The couple welcomed son Kairo, four, in 2020, followed by a daughter Kinara, one, in 2023. News of Kyle’s children shocked fans, seeing as the Man City star has been in a relationship with Annie Kilner since 2010, and they tied the knot in 2022 but are now in the process of divorcing. Kyle and Annie have four children of their own, and rumours suggest he’s focusing on his kids with Annie while letting Kairo and Kinara fall by the wayside.
“I’m hopeful their dad will come back to them and continue to build his relationship with them,” Lauryn told Closer during a new interview about her family dynamic. However, she then added that Kyle might be running out of time to form bonds with his kids, especially older Kairo - nickname Kai - who is “starting to understand now.”

The Celebs Go Dating star explained: “He asks for his daddy and he’s starting to realise maybe it’s his choice… I always say that Daddy is busy playing football, but he’s not believing my excuses anymore.” Lauryn added her hopes that “all” involved could “move forward and do what’s right for all the children,” and said she had “faith” that the right thing could be done for her kids.
Despite sharing her hopes that everyone could build bridges for the children involved in her love triangle, Lauryn recently hinted that she still had beef with Annie. Appearing on podcast Yours Sincerely, she told co-host Lisa Andrews: "I did get a message today saying that comments are being liked on her page about her apparently brainwashing my children.”
She asked: “Can we touch on that? Come off it, what am I brainwashing my child about? Do I ever... You're here, and you're around me so much. I don't bring up his dad to him, do I?
"We literally get on with our lives. We are a little family unit. It's just crazy that people think I'm just sitting there trying to get him to rehearse stuff or whatever. What good would that do my child? I'm all about how my child is going to feel in the future.”
Lauryn continued: “These are things his dad are going to have to deal with in the future because Kairo and Kinara will 100% want to ask him some questions. I don't think the answers he'll give will be good enough because they'll be able to see through him and that's my personal opinion." The Mirror have reached out to Annie's reps for comment.
According to Annie, things are completely different to Lauryn’s representation. It was previously reported that Annie had banned Kyle from seeing his children with Lauryn, however a spokesperson for the mum-of-four told the Mirror : "The idea that Annie has banned Kyle from seeing Lauryn’s children is simply untrue. The way Lauryn has behaved towards Annie and her children has made it impossible for Kyle to forge an emotional relationship with them without protecting the privacy of his own family. Kyle provides for Lauryns children financially and will continue to do so.
"They don’t enjoy the spectacle involving children and are frustrated that Lauryn continues to play it out so publicly without thought for the feelings of all the young ones involved."
