Morgan Gibbs-White has given Jota Silva a hilarious new nickname at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest won at Manchester United on Saturday, with Morgan Gibbs-White among the goals for the Reds.

The England international returned to form with a brilliant performance that also saw him claim an assist for Chris Wood during the 3-2 win.

Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo was hailed by Jamie Redknapp after the win as the Reds stunned Old Trafford into silence just after half-time.

The Reds look to have a very strong dressing room right now and it’s leaders like Gibbs-White that are helping piece things together.

Forest made four pieces of history at Old Trafford by beating United and now the team will look forward to Saturday’s game at home to Aston Villa.

Morgan Gibbs-White gives Jota Silva a comical new nickname

Gibbs-White is in his third season at the club and ultimately he’s now one of the leaders in the dressing room.

Perhaps when it comes to the banter he’s one of the kings of the dressing room too and he’s given Portuguese star Silva a new nickname.

Posting on his Instagram story, Gibbs-White called Silva ‘Arthur Shelby’ in a nod to the Peaky Blinders character who slightly resembles the attacker.

Silva has a unique hairstyle in the Forest dressing room and quite clearly that has led to some banter thrown in his direction.

The 25-year-old has now started three games in succession for the Reds and he’s slowly but surely adapting to the Premier League.

Gibbs-White can help Silva settle in the Premier League

So far, Silva has shown flashes of exactly what he’s capable of out on the pitch.

However, he will want to offer more in the way of goals and assists as the season progresses and Gibbs-White can help him.

The Forest number 10 is useful in possession of the ball and he can take some of the pressure away from Silva on the pitch.

It’s important that the Portuguese performer gets the time and space to do what he’s good at and when he found those pockets against United, he impressed.

Forest have a number of good options in the squad right now and Silva will want to work hard to prove he can keep warranting a place in the team.
